January 2013 Empties

Hey Everyone!

I just realized that I haven't posted anything since my last empties post... yep true slacker here. I'm really trying to get into the groove of school again. This semester is going to be the hardest semester out of the two years of school... I cannot wait......*sarcasm* I didn't use up many products this month.. I think its because I had a lot of empties last month! 

Just a update.. I'm doing well on my shopping ban! I still have not bought anything... just food and gas with an exception of two 5 pound weights from National Sport.. I've been working out since January 2nd and have already lost 10 pounds! Pretty crazy of you ask me.. so I gave myself the OK to buy the weights... $20 in total.. not bad. 

So I ran out of a couple things since my shopping ban...

Bubble Bath 

Dry Shampoo

Thank goodness my mother bought a bottle of dry shampoo and told me she didn't like it.. so she gave it to me.. so that should hold me over for a little bit. I also finished all my Lush products I got from Christmas and a Bubble Bath from BBW..... I take a lot of baths.. its my way of de-stressing.

Enough blabber... Lets start reviewing!

1. Schwarzkopf Got 2b Dry Shampoo- At first I really did like this product.. but the more I used it.. the less I liked it. I ended up hating the smell of it and it didn't really spray a powder like the other dry shampoos I have used. I have one more bottle of this since my mother bought one for me to have...Would Not Repurchase

2. Quo Nail Polish Remover Pump- I love this product! I don't know having a pump for a nail polish remover is wonderful! The product is also really great! Takes off all my glitter nail polish..so that's always a plus! Would Repurchase

3. John Frieda Luxurious Volume Full Splender Conditioner- Not a bad product at all! The smell is nice and it didn't make my hair heavy like some other conditioners do! It's not holy grail or anything though. Would Not Repurchase

4. Biotherm Blue Therapy Serum- It didn't go on greasy and had a light scent to it.. I don't use serums for my face because I tend to break out from them. I didn't notice any wonders from this sample. Would Not Purchase

5. Covergirl Trublend Pressed Powder (Translucent Honey)- I've had this powder for so long now. I used it to set my foundation and BB creams but I know its too heavy for that. Sometimes when I didn't want to use any foundation.. I'd just use this. I want to try other powders out there so... Would Not Repurchase

6. O.P.I Avojuice Skin Quenchers (Winter Huckleberry)- Yes another mini sample of of this lotion.. I do like the scent this time.. but would I buy it again for the smell.. no... I liked other scents more than this one. Would Repurchase... Not The Scent

7. BBW Bubble Bath (Black Raspberry Vanilla)- As you know I'm a fan of the BBW bubble baths.. they are not super moisturizing but the bubbles are great! :) This scent is wonderful.. "vine-ripened berries drenched in vanilla cream" Would Repurchase 

8. Perfume Samples-
Eternity Aqua- Wayyy too strong for me.. and I didn't like the scent at all! Would Not Purchase

December 2012 Empties

Hey Everyone!

I'm a little late posting this..just because of all the craziness with the holidays and such. I think I did pretty well for the products I have used up.. if you ask me.

Just so ya know I'm also going to be doing a 100 DAY SHOPPING BAN. Ya you heard right. I'm not going to spend any money till April 10th. I got the idea from Jenna on her blog and thought what a great idea! 

The only things I'm going to be spending money on is gas and food. The food part I'm going to make.. I'm trying not to go out to eat.. well.. unless my boyfriend is paying. ;)

So anyways.. lets start reviewing!

1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner- I love this conditioner.. the smell is amazing and keeps my hair feeling soft and doesn't weight my hair down either like some other deep conditioners do. Would Repurchase

2. BBW Candles (Pumpkin Patch) & (Pomegranate Lemonade)- Finally used up a couple of my candles during the holidays.. both scents are to die for and would recommend either one of them. I hope they have the pomegranate one again this summer! Would Repurchase

3. Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Polish (Destiny)- I was in LOVE with these lip polishes.. I bought about 5 of them at once.. and they go for $23 a pop. I finally finished one of them. I love the tingling sensation it gives you when your wearing it. The colour Destiny is like a peachy/pink. Would Repurchase 

4. Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes- As you know I tried the cucumber towelettes to this brand and loved them.. so I decided to try out this ones. A let down.. I didn't like the smell and I thought the wipes were more moistened for the cucumber wipes. Would Not Repurchase

5. Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss (Hoola)- I was so happy to get this lip gloss as a gift from Luxe Box when I went to Toronto. It just came out too when I received it.. so I was feeling like a lucky person. I do like how its glossy and it didn't have a lot of colour but it didn't moisturize my lips at all.. and when I would wear it often I felt my lips getting more dry. Would Not Repurchase

6. DDF Advanced Firming Cream- I've been using this little sample from Luxe Box. A little bit goes a long way. I didn't like the smell at all for this cream and I really didn't find a difference in my skin at all.
Would Not Repurchase

7. Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat- My favourite top coat to use on my nails! It makes my nails soo shiny and beautiful.  Already Repurchased

8. O.P.I Avojuice Skin Quenchers (Cran & Berry)- As you know this is my favourite kinda of lotion to throw into my purse but not my favourite scent. Not a good smell at all.. and the people around me hated the scent too.. lets just say I finished this baby fast! Would Repurchase... Not The Scent

9.  Fekkai Glossing Cream- I'm glad I only got a sample of this. It made my hair feel really oily after applying it to the ends of my hair. I did use it only when I had dry hair.. maybe it would work better if my hair was wet. Would Not Repurchase 

10. Eucerin Complete Repair Daily Moisturizing Lotion- Didn't find this sample to be moisturizing at all. No smell to it.. for people looking for fragrance-free products. Would Not Repurchase

11. Dove Dry Shampoo- I go through dry shampoo like its going outta style! Already did a review for this if you like to look.... HERE 

12. Klorane Dry Shampoo- I also have been through a couple of these too... if you would like to see my review... HERE

13.  BBW Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel (Mai Tai Mango)- Getting through some of the hand sanitizers I bought this summer. I did like the smell in the store.. but when I was wearing it.. I didn't like it anymore.
Would Repurchase... Not The Scent

14. Perfume Samples-

Miss Pucci- I really like this scent. I would wear this out for a night time scent. Would Purchase

Versace Yellow Diamond- I like my sample of Bright Crystal better than this one.. and felt like it didn't last on me either. Would Not Purchase

Ralph Lauren Romance- I remember when this scent was really big.. I never bought it.. and still would not buy it now.. just not for me. Would Not Purchase

Swarovski Aura- I really liked this scent.. another one I would wear at night time. Would Purchase

There ya have it! All my empties for the month of December! Seriously it took me 3 days to finish this blog post.. I need to get on it!

Lush and Philosophy Products From Christmas!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I was definitely one spoiled girl as always.. not just in presents but in quality time with the fam jam!

My boyfriends sister knows me so well.. she gifted me with a Lush Christmas Gift Set and Philosophy Shower Gels! I have never been given a Lush set like this before.. I usually just wonder into the store and buy random things. 

I did go to Lush yesterday for Boxing Day and picked up a couple more bath bombs since they were buy one get one but only walked out with four items...didn't want to go overboard.

Butttt.. I'm not going to lie.. as soon as I got home from shopping I dropped my things and went straight into my bath... I couldn't resist not using one of my items right away! haha 

That's everything from the "With Love From Santa Gift Set".. I can't wait to dive right into all these products.. my baths are going to be great!

Out of all these scents.. Candy Mountain is by far my favourite.. that's why I have only 3 pictured because as soon as I came home from shopping.. I had to use my Candy Mountain so now there is only one.. :(   

I just checked on the Lush website and there is still a lot of deals on there! 

Here are the 3 Philosophy Shower Gels I got for Christmas as well. They all smell wonderful!

I'm still using up my Senorita Margarita from Philosophy still.. so when that's done I'll try these out!

My Family Christmas

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday we had my side of the family Christmas get together. We usually do it every Christmas Eve but this year we did it on the 23rd. It's soo nice to have the whole family together and to see 7 little ones running around playing together. I'm so very blessed to have everyone healthy and happy around me. I ran out this morning to pick up a flower arrangement already to give to my boyfriends parents and it wasn't that crazy in the store so that was nice. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and make sure to be safe and no drinking and driving people!

December Luxe Box 2012

Hey Everyone!

I just got my December Luxe Box..I think this is my last box for my subscription since they went and changed the whole thing. Now I don't know what box to get next... I'm thinking maybe Glossy Box.. it seems to have some really great products in it! 

So here's to my last box..!

So I got....

Calvin Klein Euphoria Perfume- I do like this scent.. and I like how this sample comes with a spray! I love it when samples still have a spray to them.. they don't get everywhere!

B. Kamins Vegetable Cleanser- This is the 2nd time I got a sample from this brand from Luxe Box.. this sample is supposed to cleanse and tone your skin and it does take off makeup as well. I'm very interested to see how this stuff works!

Prada Infusion d'Iris Perfume- Surprisingly I like this scent... hate the sample bottle though.. no spray.. I just have to be extra careful.. I do like dropping things haha.

Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide- This sample is supposed to help your dry ends on your hair. I always have dry ends of my hair.. so this will come in handy.. especially in these winter months. Second sample from this brand in my Luxe Box.

Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara- I love getting samples of mascara. I think its the best thing someone can give me in a box.. especially from a brand like Lancome. I have tried Lancome mascaras before and really like them so maybe this will be another!

Blue Lagoon Iceland Algae Mask- Never heard of this brand before but always willing to try something new for face products. Its supposed to "give your skin a lift and glow. We will see how this works out!

China Glaze Nail polish (Always a Lady)- Happy to get a nail polish.. but not happy about the colour. I have many nail polishes already in something similar to this one. I'm probably going to give it away to a friend. 

Luxe Box Kabuki Brush- Not bad quality for a brush.. but I already own 2 other brushes just like this and they are better quality then this one.. this brush will also go to a friend. 

There ya have it lovelies. My last Luxe Box. I can honestly say that it wasn't that bad! I just wish they would broaden their brand products.. the reason why I get these boxes is to try out different companies I haven't heard about. Instead they keep giving different samples from the same brands boxes in a row.. am I going to miss my Luxe Box.. I have no clue.. but we will see what the future holds!

November 2012 Empties

Hey Everyone!

Well November came and went and now I'm sitting here writing this post. I think I did a pretty good job with my empties this month.. got a couple full-sized products in there so that's always a plus. School has been kicking my ass, that's why I haven't posted much... so when a month comes to a end I get excited to do this post. I started getting stomach pains after every test that I would write.. so now I'm staying away from coffee for a little bit.. I think I was taking it a little too overboard with the coffee consumption. Instead.. I have found a new little treat to be addicted to.. Candy Cane Hot Chocolate from Tim Hortons.. have you tried it yet? If you haven't.. get to your nearest Tim Hortons and fast!

So anyways... Lets start reviewing! 

1. Garnier Moisture Rescue Cleansing Cloths- These wipes were just ok.. and disliked the smell. On the package it says rose extract... not my favourite and it was just a little too much smell for my wipes. It did remove my makeup but can't get over the smell. I would Not Repuchase. 

2. Bath and Body Works Bubble Bath (Secret Wonderland)- I just love BBW bubble baths and the always go right with the smell of them.. and this one smells divine. On the bottle it says, a blend of strawberry, jasmine petals and white amber. I also like how many bubbles you get when you use this.. and the stay for awhile.. unlike some bubble baths they disappear as soon as you get into the tub! I would Repurchase again but there are other scents I would like to try out!

3. L'Oreal Intense Repair Nutrition Masque for Dry Hair- I also LOVED this masque. I would use it at least once every two weeks to give my hair some love. I brought this on my trip to Mexico in April and every time I went into the ocean or pool.. this is the masque I would use to make my hair soft again.. a definite lifesaver. The smell is a little bit stronger than the shampoo but on the same line. I would Repurchase again. 

4. L'Oreal Intense Repair Nutrition Shampoo for Dry Hair- I LOVED this shampoo.. period. Every time I used a lot of product during the week and my hair seems dry, I would use this shampoo. It would make my hair soft and shiny and don't even get me started on the smell.. its amazing. I don't know how to describe the smell to you.. but please just go and smell it. It's like bananas and coconut.. no clue. I would Repurchase again. 

5. Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo- I finally got done the shampoo this month.. last month I finished the conditioner. Again with this line.. I do like the smell.. but it doesn't do anything for my hair and I like buying products for my colour treated hair. I would Not Repurchase.  

6. TRESemme Tres Two Extra Hold Hair Spray- I had this bottle of hairspray forever.. and finally I sucked it up and used it all. I didn't like it.. that's why it took me so long to use it. I think it was a combination of the spray on it and the way it made my hair feel after using it. I would Not Repurchase. 

7. Victoria's Secret Body Lotion (Amber Romance)- I like putting on lotion before I go to bed and this scent is really good and nourishing. I like using the line of products and from my haul from Victoria's Secret.. I still have a lot of lotion to go through. I like how the lotion isn't very greasy either.. I'm not a body butter kinda girl.. so this is perfect for me! I would Repurchase again. 

8. Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara (Blackest Black) 2x- I bought this awhile ago when they had a sale on this mascara so I bought two to try it out.. big mistake.. I should have only bought one to try. The mascara itself dries out really quick and when I apply it to my lashes it doesn't go on smoothly.. it goes on clumpy.. and you really have to work at it to get your lashes the way you like them. I sucked it up and used up both.. didn't want to.. but now I can say bye bye. I would Not Repurchase. 

9. Cargo Triple Action Mascara- This is my second sample from one of my Luxe Boxes. If you want to see my review on this click here. I reviewed it in my September Empties.  

10. Perfume Samples-

Versace Bright Crystal- Love this scent. Its floral, fruity and musky at the same time. Smells a little like Dior Addiction Number Two and that's my favourite perfume. Would Buy.

Ed Hardy Villain- Fruity scent and kinda reminds me of Taylor Swifts Wonder Struck perfume. Would Buy.

Acqua di Dioia Essenza- This perfume would be a night time scent for me. I wasn't over the top for this perfume but it does smell nice. Wouldn't Buy.

Thierry Mugler Angel- Reminds me of my mom because this is one of the very first perfumes I ever bought her. The scent is a little too strong for me as well.. with those factors I Wouldn't Buy.
