Michael O'Rourke- Rock Your Hair- Bombshell Big Hair Powder- Review

Hey Everyone!

I know its been awhile.. and I am slacking but school is defiantly taking over my life at the moment. The only reason I had time to do this post is because I actually got to go home early for the day.. ya!!

A couple of months ago I was getting ready with the girls from my friends bridal party to go out for the evening and she brought along this miracle powder.. yes I think its miracle. She told me if I wanted volume and my hair to stay put then just sprinkle this powder underneath the hair right at your roots. My hair stayed perfect all night. Anytime I have a night out or a function to go to.. I use this powder.. it kind of reminds me of dry shampoo but dry shampoo you can brush out easy.. this stuff you can't.. it stays in place!

So after using it that night when I went out with the girls.. I wanted to purchase this immediately. I didn't know where to buy it.. so I assumed if I were to go shopping in the states.. I would be sure to find it at either Ulta or Sephora... so I found it at Ulta.. it was over $20 USD for this little thing.. I thought it was kinda over priced but I didn't care because I wanted it away. Today I went to Winners right after school and found this exact same bottle for $7.99 CAD. I was shocked I actually found it there..Winners never disappoints.  I also bought a hair spray from the same line.. but I'll do a review of that another time. 

So this little bottle is a must have in my hair essentials....I love it!

Do you use any volume powders for your hair? Anyone try this before?

Shoppers Drug Mart Sample Gift

This past Saturday I went to my local Shoppers Drug Mart and redeemed all my points because they were having the bonus money event.. soo that gave me $220 for free at shoppers. Just wanted to do a quick outfit of the day post.. me and my man went to a wedding this past weekend. The bride looked absolutely stunning.. her dress was very swing girl/vintage.. if there is such a thing.

One more wedding to go ladies.. and its for my best friend and I'm standing up in it so its kind of a big deal soo I'm pretty excited for that one!

August Luxe Box 2012

Hey Everyone!

So after my long wait for the new seasonal Luxe Box... it finally came yesterday.

It was weird because I wasn't as excited as I was to previous boxes I have received. Maybe its because I don't get them every month like before and I kinda forget I even have the subscription still!

Well anyways.. here it is!

So I got...

China Glaze Nail Polish (Purr-Fect Plum)- This colour is from the new Fall collection they have and they could not have picked a better colour for me! It's beautiful.. I am really happy to get this in my box and I have no colour that looks like this at all! Its a full size product.

Kerasrase Elixir Ultime- Very interested to see how this hair oil is going to be like for my hair. I find a lot of hair oils to be too heavy for my type of hair and always turn my hair too greasy. Very small sample.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner- Another full size product.. I am excited to get this.. I don't wear or own any eyeliner.. I know crazy right? So I'll be able to try this out.. I always wanted to create a nice winged or cat eye but never had any eyeliners to do it!

Paco Robanne Lady Million Fragrance- Very cute sample.. but the smell is not really for me.. I like more of a floral light scent where I feel this is more for nights out only. 

B. Kamins Eye Cream- Never heard of this brand before.. can never go wrong with trying out different eye creams.. since I'm just starting to wear one everyday!

Blinc Mascara- On the package it says.. stop painting your lashes.. tube them. I'm really excited to try this out.. I've heard of mascaras like this but never have tried it!

Loose Button Gift (Exfoliating Pad)- I really didn't need this.. but I can always use it! 

So there ya have it my new Luxe Box from the seasonal boxes. Can I say that I am impressed?... Not really. There are only 2 full sized products in the whole box and I thought I was going to get wayy more products and bigger products since we are paying more money for the subscription. I am thankful that I'm going to try new products that I have never tried before.. but is it worth the money.. I don't know. I'm going to play out the rest of my subscription and see where it takes me.

August 2012 Empties

Hey Everyone!

I cannot believe summer is almost over.. well it seems like it is for me because I start school on Tuesday. August went by so quickly it was hard for me to even catch up to it! I didn't do as good as last months empties post.. I'm really trying to use up a lot of my samples that I get but I guess that didn't happen this month.. new goal for September I guess! Let's start reviewing!

1. Life Essentials Nail Polish Remover Dip- This is my second time reviewing this product and I like it... but I do want to try a couple more removers before I jump to loving this product. I'm really into glitter nail polishes at the moment and I keep my nail dipped about 2 min and it all comes off.. so I do think that's pretty good!

2. Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser (Sensitive)- I really liked this product! I was getting a lot of cyctic acne and since I have been using this I can honestly say I only had one breakout. The formula is on the thicker side and the smell is like clay. I would definitely buy this product again but right now I'm trying a different product!

3. Joico K-PAK Revitaluxe Restorative Treatment- To revitalize, nourish and repair hair... I'm not jumping up and down about this product and I'm not saying it's bad either. It did leave my hair pretty smooth and the smell didn't bother me.. I just wouldn't go and spend the money on this product. 

4. Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector- I have never felt more ripped off over a product. I bought this because it claims it dramatically helps reverse the appearance of dark spots, age spots, skin stresses and darkening from acne scars. In just 4 weeks you should be able to see results.. I didn't see anything... please save your money and try something else.. I did like the formula.. wasn't greasy or anything.. it just didn't do any wonders for me!

5. M.A.C Zoom Fast Black Lash- I was given this sample a little while ago and I have already repurchased! I actually like this mascara and I'm only going to use it for nights out...if you like your lashes full, dark and a lot of product on them.. this is for you! 

6. Balea Sensitive Facial Wipes (unscented)- I love these little wipes.. I have been buying this brand for over a year now. It's been a love/hate relationship though. The new wipes that you can buy now are soo much better than these ones I have here.. this is a old package I'm just using up. I'm not going to buy anymore of these I'm just going to use up the ones I have because I want to try something new but go and give these a try!

7. Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment (Rose)- A little birthday sample from Sephora.. I finally got to try this product.. and I love it! I love the colour it gave on my lips and it left them feeling smooth! The smell is also a plus.. I would repurchase this in the future for sure!

8. Neutrogena All-in-One Make-up Removing Cleansing Wipes- I got this sample from the Neutrogena give away that was going on. I did not like these wipes. It didn't remove all my makeup and I don't like the smell it gave off as well. I wouldn't buy this product.

I did a little running around today.. and this is the outfit I did it in. I got a couple of glares since it was 1pm on a Wednesday but why can't I wear what I want. I love dressing up for no reason!

5 Years

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to share a picture with you.. me and my boyfriend celebrated our 5 years of being together on Monday! We went out for dinner at our favourite restaurant in Windsor called Toscana and just spent some quality time together.. what more can a girl ask for? 5 years definitely goes by fast and I'm happy to be able to spend that time with a man like him :)
