July 2012 Empties

Hey Everyone!

It's my favourite post of the month... Monthly Empties! This month I can actually say I think I did a pretty good job... I tried to get rid of some samples that were just sitting there collecting dust.. so let's start reviewing!

1. Jergens Natural Glow in Firming (Medium to Tan Skin)- Claims that it is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite... now I don't know about that but I like using this product to give me gradual colour. It doesn't smell the greatest but its better than others. Would I buy this again... yes.
2. Bath and Body Works Bali Mango- I had this for over a year now and just finished it.. I like BBW's lotions I think they do its job and I really like the smell of mango!
3. Softsoap Juicy Pomegranate & Mango Body Wash- As soon as I wash myself with this I feel more energized.. I love the smell of this product.. I don't feel like its the most nourishing but the smell just wins me over for sure.
4. Dove Dry Shampoo- I REALLY like this product.. for a cheaper alternative to what I usually buy.. I would buy this. My boyfriend even said to me one day that my hair smelled really good.. little does he know its dry shampoo.. haha
5. Vaseline Dry Skin Lotion- This product was a let down for me.. as soon as I put the lotion on my hands it soaked it right up but not in a good way. I wanted to keep applying. I won't buy this again.
6. Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel (White Citrus)- I love these small little hand gels.. easy to pop into my purse and away I go.. I would buy this smell again too.
7. J.R Watkins Hand & Body Lotion- When I first got this in my Luxe Box.. I was soo excited to try this product. I loved the smell at first.. but then it was wayy too strong for my liking. I put it on at work and people did not like the smell at all. Won't be repurchasing.
8. Slatkin and Co. White Citrus Candle- Love buying these candles at BBW's and just decided to share with you that I just love the smell. It's not overwhelming. I would def buy this smell again for a candle!
9. Lancome Primordiale Cell Defense Serum- I really didn't use this product a lot.. I had it for over a year and its just a sample. I wouldn't repurchase. Didn't wow me.
10. Orlane Absolate Skin Recovery Cleansing Serum Eyes- No thanks.. a Luxe Box sample.. I'll stick to my towellets. It made my skin really greasy!
11. Lancome Primoridale Eye Cream- I had this product for over a year and loved it. It lasts a long time and since my skin doesn't have wrinkles... I just use this as my day and night cream under my eyes. I already repurchased another eye cream from Lancome since this one is not available anymore.
12. Lush Colour Supplement (Light Yellow)- I actually didn't use up all my sample on this one...I put the product all over my face and I just didn't like the consistency. I would rather use something else other than this product.
13. Fructis Color Shield- I tried both shampoo and conditioner in these samples.. the smell is really nice but it didn't really wow me or do anything much for my hair. I wouldn't buy this product.

There ya have it.. all my empties for the month.. and yes I did throw in a couple miscellaneous products like a candle.. well just because I wanted to haha! As you can see I have been trying to hydrate my skin.. trying to use up a lot of different lotions! Me and my boyfriend right before bed give each other hand massages...so relaxing...

Have you tried any of these products? What are you thoughts?

Win a Lifetime of CND Shellac!

Hey Everyone!

Would you like to win a lifetime supply of Shellac? You know I would! I have been going to get my nails done with shellac for the past month now and I can defiantly see a difference in my nails.. they actually grow.. and they are soo strong. You don't know how many times I have hit my nails on something hard.. and thought to myself.. wow if I didn't have this shellac on my nails they would be gone! I love also how long they stay on my nails.. as a server...having my nails looking presentable is always a must.

Rachael B from Nail Polish Canada contacted me about this and wondered if I could share it on my blog for you all to get in on this great contest!

Below is the message they sent me if you want to win the contest! Good Luck Ladies!

WIN SHELLAC FOR LIFE ($1266 value) - NAILPOLISHCANADA.COM TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE
“To be fair, it’s actually only a 25 year supply, so we can only hope the winner dies early to keep me an honest woman” - Nikki Smith, VP of Glitter, Nail Polish Canada.
CND Shellac is a cross between nail polish and gel which is cured under a UV lamp and lasts up to 14 days without chipping.

Chipped nails are an important issue that affect lives in many ways. “ We've invented substantial research and the reason women slap or bite in a cat fight is fear of chipping their nails. Hopefully, together, we can build a world where a woman can throw a punch at the bitch who kissed her boyfriend without worrying about chips” said Ms. Smith

The prize will go to whomever can show that their life will be most impacted by winning Shellac for life.
Be it better, or worse.

Maybe it stops your polish addiction long enough that you can save money, go to school, become a doctor, go to Africa and start saving lives. Did we say that this contest saves lives? Now we did.

Or maybe you’re just looking for a little understanding, “My husband will finally understand that other people take polish as seriously as me...” - Sarah P.”
Or perhaps the result won’t be as positive, “I’ll probably spend all my time painting my nails, not go to work, get fired, now I’m homeless, damn you NPC.” - Beth C”
If you or a loved one is still stuck in a world of chips, smudges and wasting countless hours re-doing nails we urge you to take a stand.
Grand prize will go to the best description of how winning a lifetime supply of Shellac will change their life.
Winner selected August 7, 2012.

Lancome Purchase

Hey Everyone!

I was debating about buying another eye cream from Lancome but I decided yes. My last eye cream last me about a year and I thought that was pretty good. I went into the bay and the lady at the Lancome counter told me about the event they had going on and all the gifts I would get with purchase..so I had to dive in. I ended up deciding on the Genifique Eye which is a youth activating eye concentrate. I'm 26 years old and I don't need a heavy eye cream so I went with this one. I like the light weight formula of this cream better than my last product I got from them. I can't give a full review of the product yet.. but I like it so far.

I wanted to share with you all my goodies I got from the promotion!

In total I have 10 products here...

-Genifique Eye Youth Activating Eye Concentrate (0.5oz)
-Bienfait Multi-Vital Daily Moisturizing Cream with SPF 30 (0.5oz)
-2x Hypnose Doll Lashes in So Black!
-2x Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate
-Juicy Tubes in Raspberry Ice
-Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover (soo excited to try this!)
-Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector
-Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup in Amande 111

Just wanted to show all of you the ring I just bought from Aldo Accessories. I am in love with this ring.. you can wear it everyday. On my nails I have been going to the nail salon to get Shellac done. I finally have my nails growing! The colour on my nails right now is Iced Coral.

Any of you Lancome lovers? Have you tried any of these products?

Road Trip

{Fedora Hat- ? bought in Mexico| Button Up Shirt- F21| Floral Shorts- Love Culture| Purse- Coach| Flip Flops- Roxy}

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I have been pretty MIA lately.. I have been busy with this wedding season and I just went on a mini getaway with my mom to visit my sister in Kingston where she lives. We did quite a few things like... shopping, boat tour of the thousand islands and even went to Ottawa for the day. I haven't been to Ottawa and I thought it was pretty cool! I love the canal..I definitively wanna take another trip in the winter to ice skate on it... that would be soo much fun! I didn't really buy anything... just a ring from Aldo Accessories. I thought a lot of the stores in Ottawa were wayy overpriced. Is that just me? I wanted a dress from Forever 21 but I decided not to get it because I know I can get it cheaper!

Anyone have road trip plans this summer?
